Under the Water and Sewerage Act (2020/8), the Energy Act (18/2021), and the Waste Management Act (24/2022), detail designs of utility service facilities must be approved by URA. To ensure safety of the utility facilities and security of services provided, effective from 01st November 2023, all the utility detail designs submitted to URA must have fire safety drawings and chemical storage facilities designed by personnel/company authorized by the Ministry of Defense in accordance with the standards of Ministry of Defense.
Therefore, starting from 01st November 2023, all the detail designs of the utility services submitted to URA must include approved fire safety drawings and chemical storage facilities design drawings from Ministry of Defense.
