Maldives Energy Authority (MEA) today commenced a program to inspect the power systems established in Maldives. The aim of the program is to bring the power systems up to the standards and regulations implemented by MEA. The first inspections under the program were conducted in K. Gulhi. A team of technical experts from MEA today visited K. Gulhi and inspected the powerhouse operated by STELCO and also the powerhouse established to supply electricity to the island’s boat yard. MEA will shortly compile the inspection report and will inform the boat yard powerhouse operator to rectify the issues identified in the boat yard powerhouse.
