Maldives Energy Authority (MEA) has approved new electricity tariffs to provide electricity to domestic customers in all inhabited islands.

The newly approved tariffs include two tariff structures – one for Greater Male’ Region (Male’, Hulhumale’, Villimale’) and one for all the rest of the inhabited islands.

MEA announced the new tariffs at a media briefing held at the Ministry of Environment and Energy this afternoon.
